ELIGIBILITY AND TARGET AUDIENCE

Workshop participation requires an active clinical license AND one of the following:
• Doctoral Degree in Medicine, Psychology, Nursing or Dentistry
• Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical or Counseling Psychology
• Masters Degree in Nursing or Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (i.e. APRN, CPNP, CNS)
• Other Advanced degree clinicians (e.g. Occupational & Physical Therapists, Speech & Language Pathologists)
• Child Life Specialists holding a Doctoral, Masters, or Bachelors degree
• Full-time Interns/Residents/Fellows or Graduate Students enrolled in an accredited program leading to these clinical degrees will be accepted when they provide a letter from their department on letterhead, attesting to their current full-time status, specifying timing of training (month and year).

PRIOR TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

Individuals attending the UTILIZATION & EXPANDED CLINICAL APPLICATIONS program:

  • Should be actively using hypnosis regularly with pediatric patients in their professional practice,
  • must have completed a Pediatric Introductory (basic/intro/level 1: 20+ hrs.) (such as any NPHTI Workshop)
  • OR an Introductory workshop (20 + hrs.) via the Society of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics taught by NPHTI faculty,
  • OR a Pediatric Introductory 20+ hour workshop co-taught by at least one of the NPHTI faculty (with NPHTI’s prior authorization)    *If you are uncertain about any of the application requirements, please complete the application and we will be in touch with you.

Individuals attending the INDIVIDUALIZED CONSULTATION program:

  • must be using hypnosis frequently with pediatric patients in their professional practice,
  • must have completed a Pediatric Introductory (basic: 20+ hrs.) and a Pediatric Intermediate Workshop (20+ hrs.) such as NPHTI Workshops
  • OR an Introductory and Intermediate workshop (20+ hours each) via the Society of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics taught by NPHTI faculty,
  • OR an Introductory Pediatric 20+ hour workshop co-taught by at least one of the NPHTI faculty (with NPHTI’s prior authorization)
