This session will discuss how requirements for federal government contractors to certify compliance with cybersecurity standards—including new certification requirements for defense contractors that went into effect in November 2025—permit the U.S. Department of Justice and private individuals to file suit for alleged false certifications under the False Claims Act (FCA). The presenters will also discuss how contractors can reduce the risk of FCA liability through internal assessments, employee reporting procedures, and other security and compliance measures.
