Bio:
Dr. Parade is Director of Early Childhood Research at E. P. Bradley Hospital and Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown Medical School. Her research is focused on understanding the biological and behavioral health consequences of maltreatment in early childhood, as well as the implementation and evaluation of community-based interventions to promote maternal and child health and prevent child maltreatment and family violence. Much of Dr. Parade’s research is focused on families in the prenatal and postpartum periods, and includes collaboration with maternal, infant, and early childhood home visiting programs. Dr. Parade’s research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Health Resources and Services Administration.
