Bio:

Anita has been working in primary prevention since 2004. She started her career at The Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida, Inc. as a contract specialist, overseeing a $30M contract for the evidence-based Healthy Families America home visiting program in the state of Florida. Later, she coordinated a national randomized control trial for the Building Strong Families initiative in partnership with Mathematica, Inc. (formerly known Mathematica Policy Research) in Broward and Orange counties in Florida before she was appointed to lead the Prevent Child Abuse Florida chapter and lead primary prevention initiatives as a convener. She joined the Prevent Child Abuse America national team in 2015 as the national director of state chapters, where she develops state affiliates, conducts chartering accreditation site visits and coordinates primary prevention efforts across the nation through the state chapter network. Anita received her BA in Educational Management, summa cum laude, from the University of Pecs and her BS in Sociology, cum laude, from Florida State University. Anita is a proud mother of two grown children, one working as a financial planner and one finishing a degree at Florida State University.
