Bio:

Kimberly Nabarro, is a Parent Leader for Safe Babies, a program of ZERO TO THREE. Kimberly (Kim), a Birth Parent with lived experience navigating the child welfare system, is a survivor of domestic violence and an individual in recovery. She successfully navigated HOPE Adult probation, earned an AA degree in Human Services/Pre-Social Work, and completed a Co-SAC practicum. As a Parent Partner and Makua Ally at EPIC ʻOhana in Hawaiʻi, Kim assists parents involved in the child welfare system in navigating systems to reunite with their children and close their cases. Her role supports healing, empowerment, and self-advocacy. She also partners with pregnant women with perinatal substance use to connect them to health services and resources for healthy outcomes. Kim actively advocates at the local, state, and national levels. She serves on an Indigenous workgroup, Nā Kama a Hāloa, and is a member of the Birth Parent National Network (BPNN) and the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance. Kim is a Parent Leader for Safe Babies, a program of ZERO TO THREE, advocating for informed practice and policy change for young children and families. She also provides guidance and support to the Casey Family Program Birth Parent Advisory Committee.
