Bio:
Allison West conducts research for action and is committed to using research to drive positive change in early childhood services and systems. Her broad interest is the health and wellbeing of expectant families and families with young children facing multiple, complex adversities, with a particular focus on two generation home-based service delivery strategies. Dr. West draws from community engaged research approaches, implementation science, and intervention research principles to strengthen service delivery and outcomes. She leads several federally funded, US national research initiatives, including as Director of the Home Visiting Applied Research Collaborative (HARC), Principal Investigator of the Supporting and Strengthening the Home Visiting Workforce project (SAS-HV), and Knowledge Development Co-Lead for the Jackie Walorski Center for Evidence-Based Case Management. She collaborates extensively with researchers at other institutions, federal staff, and other key interest groups and serves on several national advisory boards. She obtained both her master’s degree and PhD in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore
