Bio:

Dr. Dahlgren, Research Associate at NPC Research has spent the last 10 years working with at-risk children and families to strengthen community involvement and wellness. Populations Dr. Dahlgren works with include children with incarcerated parents, children and families with child welfare involvement, and adults and families impacted by substance use. With her doctorate degree in Human Development, Dr. Dahlgren focuses heavily on community context while conducting rigorous research to understand the population of participants in a way that is both humanizing and enlightening. Dr. Dahlgren has also worked on several initiatives both inside and outside the state of Oregon. Within the state of Oregon, Dr. Dahlgren has participated in the evaluations of Healthy Families Oregon, Friends of the Children Portland, and Red Light, Purple Light a self-regulation intervention. She also volunteers in the Oregon community, as the secretary of the board for a local non-profit, Family SkillBuilders, a committee member for the Governor’s Re-entry Council for the Children with Incarcerated Parent’s Bill of Rights, and as a co-chair of the Children with Incarcerated Parents committee in Clackamas County. In addition to local work, she has participated in several evaluations in the states of Alaska, California, and Washington. Dr. Dahlgren also manages two large-scale federal projects, the National Evaluation of Family Treatment Courts and the evaluation of the Iowa Children’s Justice TINY DANSR program. Dr. Dahlgren is a detail-oriented Project Manager that enjoys working with clients to provide context-driven final projects from start to finish. _x000D_ Dr. Dahlgren earned her B.A. in Psychology, M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, and her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Oregon State University.
