Evaluating School-Based CSA Prevention Policies: Help Us Understand the Numbers!
Wednesday, August 13, 2025
1:15 PM - 2:00 PM
This interactive session will invite feedback from attendees in the form of a data walk after providing an overview of PCA America's ongoing project funded by the CDC to evaluate school-based child sexual abuse prevention laws. These types of laws impact various community partners, including those with experience working in schools, law enforcement, and child welfare, in addition to directly impacting children and families. As we gather data to evaluate these policies, we want to engage with these community partners; the research can provide insights for impact, but so can community voices with their perspectives on the findings. During this session, attendees will be presented with several pieces of data from this project and be asked to share feedback from their expertise to help contextualize the data analysis going forward. The goal is to both equip community partners with relevant, current data that impacts their work, as well as to empower them to share their voice with us as we continue our research, so that it is informed by those with lived and professional experience in this field.
