Child sexual abuse is preventable, and organizations serving children and families play a crucial role in ensuring safe environments. This session will highlight the efforts of Positive Childhood Alliance North Carolina in developing an organizational policy development toolkit designed to help child and family-serving organizations create or enhance their internal child safeguarding policies. The presenter will provide an in-depth review of the toolkit, outlining its key components and practical applications. Additionally, the session will cover the technical assistance plan used by PCANC to support Family Resource Centers and other organizations across the state in implementing these policies effectively. Attendees will hear feedback that was shared from family-serving organizations regarding their experiences with implementing basic child safeguarding policies, including challenges, successes, and lessons learned. This session will equip participants with practical strategies and resources to strengthen child protection efforts within their organizations or within their communities.
