During an HFA home visit, we ask that FSS’s promote nurturing PCI, support healthy growth and development, and enhance family functioning all while partnering with parents, using parenting materials emergently, and making space for thinking about how individual values can differ from those of the families that we are working with. It can feel like a lot! Join us as we engage in a live demonstration of a home visit that brings all of these pieces together in a seamless way that feels both genuine and thoughtful while also meeting the needs of the family and overall program goals. After the demonstration there will be facilitated discussion to reflect on how the visit went, what could be done differently or next time, as well as understanding the expectations around documentation of this visit. There will also be space created to think about what the supervisory support of this visit might look like.
