Jessica Anderson serves as a POST-certified law enforcement officer with the City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks. She began her ranger journey in Oregon in 2021, bringing with her a background in soil science, forestry, and wildlife. With over three years of experience as a ranger in Colorado, she now blends fieldwork with a strong passion for outreach and education- both in person and online. Jessica is especially interested in using social media as a tool for outdoor education, striving to meet people where they are and foster a sense of place that transcends physical park boundaries. She believes through engaging digital content, we can connect broader audiences to open space, encouraging stewardship and appreciation across communities.
Jessica is so dedicated to her craft- she named her dog "Ranger." They can be found hiking and camping together on her days off.
