Jake serves as the COO of RRC Associates, a social science research firm in Colorado specializing in outdoor recreation and public lands. Throughout his career, he's focused his research goals on better understanding visitor experiences on public lands, engagement with sustainable behaviors, and managing visitor use. His philosophy is grounded in providing practical solutions through research using traditional and innovative methodologies. Since 2020, Jake has been the lead social scientist for the National Park Service’s nationwide socioeconomic research contract, managing research in over 30 park units a year. He holds a Doctorate in Forestry and Conservation Sciences and an M.S. in Recreation Management from the University of Montana.
