Julie has more than 20 years of experience in the natural resources field. She has designed and facilitated community collaborations, stakeholder dialogues, public engagement processes, strategic planning processes, and summits on international, national, regional, state and local scales in areas of natural resource management, agriculture, and emerging technologies. Her work frequently involves intersectional considerations of equity, diversity and inclusion and Tribal and Indigenous engagement. In 16 years at Keystone Policy Center, she has convened, led and advised on numerous processes on public lands policy and stewardship, water quality, abandoned mine reclamation, recreation, energy development, wildlife and ecosystem conservation, sustainability, pollinator health, application of genomic innovations in human health, conservation and agriculture, and more. Julie holds a master’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder and bachelor’s degrees in geosciences and English from Williams College.
