Kristen May worked for six years in Open Space, covering a lot of ground as a volunteer manager, supervisor, project manager, outdoor educator, grant writer and supporting real estate transactions. Since becoming a mom, Kristen has left agency work to pursue consulting, primarily grant writing and event support. Her clients have included the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation, the City of Lafayette, COSA, Landscaping with Colorado Native Plants Conference and Growing Up Boulder. She has authored successful grants totaling over $3 million in funding for a variety of funders. When she isn’t working, Kristen now hikes at the pace of her toddler, attempts to catch fish on a fly and throws pottery as part of the Arvada Ceramic Arts Guild.
