Danielle Scroggs is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at Craig Hospital, where she works with adolescent patients with spinal cord injuries aged 15-21. With a focus on adaptive sports, aquatic therapy, and adaptive video gaming, Danielle brings a dynamic approach to recreation therapy.
Danielle played a role in the design of the Xbox Adaptive Controller and has built valuable partnerships with organizations like AbleGamers, Kelly Brush Foundation, and the High Fives Foundation. Known for her expertise in creating adaptive video gaming controllers and her "jack of all trades" spirit, Danielle is passionate about making activities accessible to all.
Her journey in recreation therapy began at Achieve Tahoe in Lake Tahoe, CA, where she taught sit-waterskiing, wakeboarding, and adaptive skiing/snowboarding. She is currently involved with the adaptive mountain biking committee, collaborates with the Xbox accessibility team, and runs an Instagram page dedicated to accessible activities in Colorado (@accessibletravelcolorado).
Outside of her professional life, Danielle loves paddling, snowboarding, and enjoying the great outdoors with her partner and her dog, Pickles.
