For more than nearly three decades, Julia Feder has worked to build more sustainable communities. As a strategic storyteller, convener, and activator of conservation initiatives, Julia is driven to engage more people as stewards of natural spaces, both big and small, across our region. Following a decade of national and global scale work with the US Green Building Council, Julia tuned her attention to fostering environmental stewardship through local and regional efforts. As the Executive Director of FRESHFARM, Julia fostered conservation agriculture efforts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and addressed food insecurity issues across the DC metropolitan region. As the Conservation and Stewardship Planning Manager for the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas, Julia works with an amazing team of people to guide a long-term vision for stewardship and management of regional open space.
