Volunteers are a vital part of open spaces in Douglas County. This session will be an interactive conversation that will discuss the important role volunteers play in land stewardship, conservation, education, research, and community. The partnership with Douglas County Open Space and Natural Resources and Douglas Land Conservancy has built a strong volunteer strategy to enhance and cultivate relationships, community education and to strengthen the conservation ethic in our region across generations. We will be sharing our successes and challenges in building this valuable program.
