Mesa County Public Health, along with many community partners, has been working in trail planning, maintenance, and construction for 5 years. The housing of a trails program, including a 5 member crew, in a public health department was initially considered unconventional but has gained broad local, state, and federal support since its inception. Mesa County Public Health representatives will give an overview of their approach and local initiatives.
