Joe McComb, Ph.D., is the Chief Information Security Officer at Holland & Hart LLP, a position he has served in since August 2021. McComb is responsible for overseeing the firm’s cybersecurity, data privacy, and awareness programs and management. In addition to his operational security role, McComb also provides his expertise and thought leadership as a member of the Denver chapter of the CISO Executive Network, which is regularly hosted at the Holland & Hart Denver office
McComb holds a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in biochemistry from the University of Colorado and a master’s and Ph.D. in physical and biological anthropology from the University of Kansas. He holds multiple certifications including the GSEC, G2700, CISM, CISSP and the CISA.
He is one of four co-authors on the Cyber CISO Marksmanship a book of case studies to help CISOs navigate complex problems.
