Speaker Bio
As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Paymentus, Mike Kalac is responsible for all aspects of the development and execution of the information security strategy and driving implementation of security related programs within the business. He is also responsible for development and implementation of corporate security control policies and standards, as well as ensuring the appropriate tools and metrics are in place to allow for effective monitoring, measurement, and control of risk as it relates to information security.
Prior to becoming the CISO for Paymentus, Mike served 13 years as the CISO of Western Union and prior to that spent 11 years as the Vice President of Network Engineering for First Data Corporation. Additionally, Kalac held senior positions with such companies as McCaw Cellular One, Octel Communications and Hewlett Packard Corporation.
Kalac received his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Denver’s Daniels School of Business and his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University.
