Matthew Sharp is the Chief Information Security Officer at Xactly, responsible for information security governance, risk management, strategy, architecture, and compliance.
Matthew is a business-savvy cloud executive bringing stakeholders together in a commitment to cybersecurity best practices that balance mission, risk, and regulation. He combines his business acumen and robust background in cybersecurity operations, sales, consulting, and management to harvest tangible business outcomes and promote enterprise cyber resilience.
Before Xactly, Matthew served as CISO at Logicworks (sold to Cox Communications). Previously, he served as Head of Global Information Security at Crocs, Inc., Director of Strategic Services at FishNet Security (acquired by the Blackstone Group), managed security consulting teams at Experis IT (acquired by ManpowerGroup), and held various other security and consulting positions.
Matthew advises several security organizations, including NopSec, CyberGRX (acquired by ProcessUnity), and previously served as an advisor to Coalfire Systems (acquired by Apax Partners), ThreatStack (acquired by F5), Ithaca College Cybersecurity Program, and Cavirin Systems. Matthew is a best-selling author featured in the Forbes Executive Library and a Member of the Forbes Technology Council.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer & Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Business Administration in Business from Colorado State University, and over 14 technology and security-related licenses and certifications.
