One of ISO’s most successful management system standards, ISO 14001 lays out the required criteria for taking a holistic approach to environmental issues through the implementation and ongoing maintenance of an environmental management system (EMS). ISO 14001 has skyrocketed in popularity among organizations seeking to practice sustainability and defend against the threat of climate change. During this presentation, we will unwrap ISO 14001 by exploring its history, identifying which organizations can become certified, understanding certification benefits, breaking down the requirements, and recognizing the benefits of integrating ISO 14001 with other ESG and cyber assessments.
