Joseph McComb, Ph.D. Chief Information Security Officer Joseph McComb, Ph.D., is Chief Information Security Officer at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2017. Dr. McComb has held various positions within Janus Capital Group in information security and most recently was the Director of Information Security and Data Privacy. Before joining Janus Capital Group in 2009, he was lead enterprise security analyst at Policy Studies Inc. from 2006 to 2009 and security analyst at Merck and Company from 2002. Dr. McComb holds a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in biochemistry from the University of Colorado – Boulder and a master’s and Ph.D. in physical and biological anthropology from the University of Kansas. He holds multiple certifications including the GSEC, G2700, CISM, CISSP and the CISA, and is associated with multiple security and financial industry groups including the Investment Company Institute (ICI). Dr. McComb has 16 years of information security experience.
