A thought-leader in the space of secure application design, a senior app sec engineer/architect, who has come through the ranks as a senior developer, and wants to improve the state of the art in application security--and I have, by using design patterns to align all of the players in the enterprise as detailed in this talk, to build in app sec best practices from the start, rather than fixing it later, in a way that is repeatable, easier, and profound. This is the way to enable Modern Application Architecture, or indeed any architecture, as well as the least-effort way to build in Security.
