Name
C7. Investigate and Mitigate Potential Insider Threats
Track
Vendor
Date
Wednesday, May 9, 2018
Time
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Description
While many data breach incidents are at the hands of external bad actors, insider threats pose an often over-looked risk to company data. In fact, internal employees were responsible for 25 percent of data breaches in 2017, according to the Verizon Data Breach report, and that number is expected to grow in the years to come. Whether through malicious intent or accidental disclosure, a company’s own employees might just be its biggest threat to data security.

Join us for this informative session and learn how you can stop internal data threats before they happen.  We’ll take a look at recent real-world examples of companies that fell victim to an internal breach, and explore how unwanted data loss, possible litigation and negative publicity could have been prevented by using the right tools.

Attendees to the session will learn how to:

·         Identify sensitive data in unapproved locations and remediate any potential threat
·         Investigate a suspected employee’s devices quickly and covertly
·         Seamlessly move data from an investigation into a tool for complete end-to-end e-discovery, in the event of possible litigation.
·         And more
