We love our credit and debit cards. They give us the ability to pay for goods and services instantly without having to worry about finding an ATM or bank to make a withdrawal. But the bad guys want nothing more than to tap in to this gold mine, make their profit, and as the shampoo label says rinse and repeat. What are we doing to better protect this important data? Why aren’t we already? Should we be doing something different?

Nick Trenc is Director for the Application Validation team at Coalfire who performs various IT security audits and work related to application security. This involves PA-DSS audits, SDLC assessments, healthcare application work and technical whitepapers. Nick serves as the Subject Matter Expert on the PA-DSS standard and assists clients with compliance questions and guidance regularly.
