Description
Session Description:

Labels help us learn and find leverage in our environment, but there is pain and damage when labels outlive their usefulness. Holding onto useless labels creates division and enables the media, politicians, and others to manipulate the way we view ourselves and others. As organization leaders, we have an opportunity to shift from this habit of unconscious labeled division that is easily manipulated, to conscious awareness and choice that strengthens and protects individuals, organizations and our communities. We will discuss how to identify useless labels and replace them, empowering us to create a future that is unfettered and intentional.

Learner Objectives
After completing this session, learners will:
- Be able to identify useless labels in their life
- Understand the negative impact of untended labels
- Understand how the habit of awareness and choice positively impacts organization initiatives
- Understand how to use positive labels to support desired organizational outcomes
