Cyber Attest is coming. External auditors will ask publicly traded companies to provide evidence that security management programs are in place and protecting the environment. The companies in turn will request independent security assessments of their key third and fourth parties to ensure their suppliers and service providers augment their security program. Corporate directors and senior management need effective programs in place and reporting to provide the evidence required.
