Douglas Spindler is a technology instructor at College of Marin, technology researcher, systems analyst, digital forensic investigator, and author. In his career Doug has worked for Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, UCSF Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, and several Bay Area companies. In his teaching career, Doug has created innovative educational programs to get the next generation of IT professionals trained with the skills needed for today’s IT jobs. Mr. Spindler established student internship programs and sponsors cyber-competitions for students. Doug earned a degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from U.C. Berkeley and is earning a Master’s degree in Informatics/Cybersecurity.   Industry certification include CISSP, MCT, MCSE, Digital Forensic Investigator and Forensic Network Investigator.
