Karen Owen is the Vice President of Information Security at Advanced Energy (CISO-equivalent), a multinational technology company specializing in precision power conversion solutions. She previously served as the Head of Information Security (CISO-equivalent) at First Solar, where she led global security efforts, improved risk posture, and defended against cyber-attacks. Karen has held various leadership roles in IT and consulting at First Solar, IBM, and PwC. She holds an Executive MBA from The Ohio State University and a BBA from Ohio University. Karen was recognized as one of the Top 25 Women Chief Information Security Officers of 2024 by Women We Admire for her role in managing information security and implementing effective cybersecurity measures.
