Walt Powell is a CISO advisor, executive coach, Cybersecurity Canon Committee member, and author of The CISO 3.0 and Quantum Ready. He pioneered the Field CISO role at CDW and leads a team of former executives who guide security leaders across industries. Walt previously founded Left Brain Security, taught networking and security at Wright College, and served as an award winning cybersecurity leader and educator. He has led CISSP and CISM boot camps and contributed to certification exam development. He speaks at major conferences and writes on the intersection of emerging technology and cybersecurity.
