Yiping Sun is a leader of SOC and ISO 27001 services in the Rocky Mountain Region, with more than a decade of experience helping organizations navigate complex cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance requirements. She advises clients on SOC 1, 2, and 3 examinations and readiness, ISO 27001 gap assessments and certification, Microsoft Data Protection Requirements (DRP) assessments, HIPAA assessments, SOX 404 internal and external IT audits, IT security and risk assessments, IT audits, and privacy assessments.
Yiping is known for her personalized, business‑aligned approach to cybersecurity. Rather than acting solely as an auditor, she partners closely with organizations to strengthen their control environments and support their broader risk management and business objectives—earning a reputation as a trusted advisor to executive and technology leaders.
She is an active member of the AICPA, ISACA, the Denver chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and the Colorado Technology Association. Yiping is also a co‑founder and board member of LIFT, a nonprofit organization under the Cloud Security Alliance’s Colorado chapter dedicated to supporting women in cybersecurity.
Yiping holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, and Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) credentials.
