Laura Harder believes that everyone deserves to feel safe, capable, and confident in a world shaped by technology, and that belief has guided more than 23 years of service across the military, government, and private sector. She helps people understand risk without fear, by building teams that protect others, and creating communities where future cybersecurity professionals can grow and belong. Today, Laura serves as the Director of Vulnerability Management at Kaiser Permanente, where she focuses on reducing cyber risk, while also continuing her service as a Flight Commander in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. A longtime community builder, she is the founding and current President of the Northern Colorado ISSA Chapter and a current Vice President of the ISSA International, advocating for members, chapters, education, mentorship, and access to the profession. A frequent speaker and facilitator, Laura translates complex cyber and AI topics into clear, real-world guidance, with leadership rooted in service, integrity, inclusion, and long-term impact.
