Jacob Rubin is a successful security and risk executive with broad Fortune-class experience in technology, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, and consulting. Academically, Jacob holds a Doctorate of Philosophy and double Master’s degrees with a primary field of study in Behavioral Cyber Security. Jacob focused his dissertation work on the application of Economics Rational Choice Theory to analyze employee decisions when committing non-malicious security violations. Jacob also holds a series of security certifications, including CISSP, CISM, and CISA.

In his most recent roles, Jacob served as the CSO for the international casual dining brand, Red Robin, where he focused his work on evolving a nascent security program into a strategically guided and business-risk-focused cyber security enablement program. Prior to his role at Red Robin, Jacob served as the Global Head of M&A Security Services for the Fortune 200 firm Cognizant Technology Solutions. While there, he led a team of over 100 security professionals to drive a $50MM security program designed to evaluate, uplift, and integrate cyber security programs. His program covered over 40 acquisitions in industries such as healthcare, digital engineering, manufacturing, hospitality, technology services, and many others with leadership and execution throughout the entire acquisitions process from diligence to full integration.
