Tim Coogan is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Colorado’s Regional Transportation District (RTD), where he leads cybersecurity strategy and protection for one of the nation’s largest transit agencies. Backed by over 25 years in technology and cybersecurity, Tim previously served as CISO at Denver International Airport (DEN), advancing airport cyber capabilities and collaborating with DHS, TSA, Boeing, and the A‑ISAC on national defense initiatives. He contributes nationally through APTA’s Security Standards Programs and DHS’s Surface Transportation Security Advisory Committee, bringing deep expertise in identity protection, risk management, and safeguarding critical infrastructure.
