Gina Yacone is the Regional and Advisory CISO for Trace3, and a vCISO for two organizations. She has deep experience helping complex organizations strengthen security, resiliency, and operational reliability. She has advised more than 17 enterprises across manufacturing, higher education (including Ivy League institutions), government, healthcare, hospitality, finance, biotech, and other regulated environments, partnering closely with executive leadership to clarify accountability and translate cyber risk into actionable business decisions. She also supported the development of MDR and threat intelligence programs at an early-stage security company that was later acquired by Sophos.

Her work spans the design and rollout of practical security controls across identity and access management, cloud and SaaS environments, detection and response, data security, and incident readiness, ensuring frameworks translate into durable, real-world security outcomes.

A strategic, purpose-driven cybersecurity executive, Gina has built and scaled enterprise security programs aligned to widely recognized frameworks including NIST, ISO, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, HITRUST, and NYDFS. She is known for bridging deep technical depth with board-level communication, enabling organizations to reduce risk, support innovation, and implement scalable governance models and resilient architectures.

Globally recognized as Cybersecurity Woman of the Year and one of the Top 20 Women of the World, Gina is a frequent speaker and industry contributor, with more than 150 presentations worldwide. She regularly provides expert commentary through articles and panels and serves as Vice President of the ISSA Denver Chapter.
