Gina Yacone is the Regional and Advisory CISO for Trace3, and a vCISO for two organizations. She has deep experience helping complex organizations strengthen security, resiliency, and operational reliability. She has advised more than 17 enterprises across manufacturing, higher education (including Ivy League institutions), government, healthcare, hospitality, finance, biotech, and other regulated environments, partnering closely with executive leadership to clarify accountability and translate cyber risk into actionable business decisions. She also supported the development of MDR and threat intelligence programs at an early-stage security company that was later acquired by Sophos.
Her work spans the design and rollout of practical security controls across identity and access management, cloud and SaaS environments, detection and response, data security, and incident readiness, ensuring frameworks translate into durable, real-world security outcomes.
A strategic, purpose-driven cybersecurity executive, Gina has built and scaled enterprise security programs aligned to widely recognized frameworks including NIST, ISO, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, HITRUST, and NYDFS.
