Danny Izquierdo leads Expel’s IT and Security Audit, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Third Party Risk, and Data Privacy Operations programs. He is a subject matter expert (SME) in cybersecurity policy, data privacy compliance, and IT and cybersecurity audits. His professional experience spans areas like: building IT and cybersecurity compliance programs, conducting security audits within the private sector and U.S. federal government at his prior firms, Ernst & Young (EY) and KPMG. He also spent time in his early career managing U.S. Department of Defense weapon system programs for the U.S. Air Force.
In his current role, Danny helps Expel ensure the organization is “walking their talk,” reinforcing trust by enabling processes that enhance and mature the company’s cybersecurity and privacy posture. He leads Expel through its annual SOC 2 Type 2 audits, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, and implemented its data privacy compliance program.
