Robert Persichitte is a Lead Data Analytics Auditor in the Denver Auditor’s Office. In this role he builds and maintains the continuous audit program’s infrastructure, develops scripts in Arbutus and Python to identify key risk indicators and automate audit testing, and assists audit teams in their work. Mr. Persichitte is also an associate faculty member at MSU Denver where he teaches accounting and runs the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Mr. Persichitte is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado. He received a B.S. in accounting from Regis University, a Masters in Professional Accountancy with an emphasis in fraud from MSU Denver, and a certificate in data science from Harvard University. He has presented on various data related topics such as continuous auditing, the types of analysis, and audit criteria. In his free time, Robert enjoys raising his two wonderful kids, using AI to analyze text, and playing the accordion.
