Tim Weil is a Cybersecurity Professional with SecurityFeeds (Denver, CO.) After 20 years of DC Beltway work with international companies and US federal agencies, Mr. Weil returned to Colorado in 2010 where he worked as an Information Security Manager for federal programs (US Antarctic Program, US Department of Interior) and commercial companies (Coalfire, Alcohol Monitoring Systems). Tim is a subject matter expert on ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) and has provided ISO 27001 consultancy services to commercial clients.

Mr. Weil is a Senior Member of the IEEE and has served in several IEEE positions - Chair of the Denver Section (2013). Chair of the Washington DC Section (2009), technical editor and author for several IEEE publications (IT Professional, Computer, Internet Computing, Security and Privacy). He currently serves as chair of the Denver COMSOC section and the IEEE Blockchain Initiative (Colorado). He has recently completed an assignment as Guest Editor for the IEEE IT Professional Magazine Special Issue on Communication Recovery and Resilience (Nov-Dev 2020).

His degrees include an M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Immaculate Heart College. Mr. Weil is an industry-certified Security and Privacy professional (CISSP), Cloud Computing Security Professional (CCSP/CCSK), Project Management Professional (PMP), IT Auditor (CISA) and certified ISO 27001 Trainer, Lead Auditor and Implementer (PECB).
