Description
Session Description

This is the story of how I took a financial organization that when I started had systems compromised weekly to not having a single system compromised or any other serious security incident in over three years. And for the skeptics (which should be anyone in security) part of the story is how I implemented technology and process to gain the visibility to actually make sure that no systems were compromised. And bonus content is the failure that went along with the success, what didn't work and what did not provide the value that I thought it would.
Learner Objectives
After completing this session, learner will understand what worked to:
-Eliminate system compromises
-Gain visibility into network and systems
-Get the company on your side to make the needed changes
Speaker Bio(s)
Jeremiah Cruit spent over 25 years as a security leader for non-tech companies, including those in the financial, telecommunications and manufacturing sectors, prior to joining DefenseStorm. He was recognized numerous times for creating innovative fraud and incident response programs, including a security program that resulted in no compromised systems for over three years. The frustrations Jeremiah encountered in these roles with the limitations of many web application security solutions ultimately led him join DefenseStorm, and work with the team to help banking organizations secure their environment with confidence. Professional focal points include security engineering and architecture, application security, anti-fraud programs, vulnerability management, incident response, forensics, technology solutions, and penetration testing.
