Director of Civic Engagement
Play Cousins Collective

Bio:

Angela is a visionary organizer, healer, and strategist deeply committed to building liberatory futures for Black communities. She serves as the Director of Civic Engagement at Play Cousins Collective, where she helps cultivate spaces of advocacy, healing, and intergenerational support. Angela is also the founder and executive director of The Prophecy Foundation, a nonprofit that centers the leadership of women and gender-diverse people impacted by incarceration and state violence. Through her business, Rose Dove Consulting, she partners with grassroots organizations, public systems, and schools to reimagine care through an abolitionist, trauma-informed, and disability-justice lens. Angela’s work focuses on dismantling harmful institutions like the child welfare system (CPS), preventing child abuse, ending youth incarceration, and uplifting youth with disabilities. Her approach weaves together advocacy, abolitionist cultural work, and healing practices to advance transformative justice and community resilience. Outside of work, Angela loves creating ASMR cleaning scrub videos—it’s her favorite way to combine relaxation, creativity, and a little sparkle.
