Bio:
Sheryldine Samuel, BSN, MPH, currently serves as the Director of Prevention and Outreach/DC Chapter Director-Prevent Child Abuse America. She has over 15 years of experience in public health, mentorship of teams, managing direct program administration, planning, and implementing public health policies and prevention programs within the non-profit sector. Her primary focus has been on preventing child maltreatment and addressing issues related to HIV/AIDS, where she has developed and executed initiatives that promote health and safety for vulnerable populations. Her experience also spans fiscal administration oversight, ensuring various funded programs operate efficiently in collaboration with government agencies and/or private stakeholders. Her background in nursing and public health has leveraged her leadership abilities to enhance, sustain, and build community engagement strategies that foster long-term program success, the well-being of the community she serves, and overall championing efforts that prevent child abuse and promote the health and safety of children and families. Ms. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Health Management and Policy from Capella University.
