Bio:

Jennifer Sommerfeld currently oversees grantmaking for the Missouri Children’s Trust Fund and has held administrative positions in the child advocacy and prevention field for the last 8+ years. She was drawn to the field by way of her Grandma Maxine, who modeled exemplary family advocacy and leadership through her roles as a mother, grandmother, and Head Start educator. In her own career, Jennifer has been a proponent of medical assessment and treatment of child abuse, child advocacy centers, and a comprehensive approach to child sexual abuse prevention. She is particularly interested in supporting youth with problematic sexual behavior and addressing the root causes of child sexual abuse perpetration.
