Tomeaka Jupiter
PCAA, Manager, HFA Training & Technical Assistance
Prevent Child Abuse America
Bio:
Tomeaka began her journey with HFA in 2005. In 2013, she was trained as an HFA Peer Reviewer and it transformed her work as a Program Manager. She walked away with a deeper understanding of the Best Practice Standards and how to document the work being done to support staff and families. Tomeaka was able to support her team with developing a better understanding of the “why” behind policies and procedures, which strengthened their practice and commitment to quality implementation of the model. “When you know why you are doing something, it changes how you do it”. Tomeaka enjoys utilizing the parallel process to serve the HFA network. She lives in Maryland with her husband and three children (two young adults and a high schooler). When she isn’t working, you’ll find her treasuring time with family and friends or enjoying long beautiful walks outside.
