Healthy Families America
Bio:
Gretchen Brogdon is a Training and TA Specialist with Healthy Families America. Gretchen has a Master’s degree in Human Development with a specialty in Parent and Community work. Gretchen has been gathering experiences with children and families in various systems such as private childcare, nonprofit family programs and services, public education, community-based foundations, county and state government, and community organizing. The thread running through these employment and volunteer experiences is a belief that families can thrive when the external pressures on them are reduced and their understanding of what children need from them is expanded. Gretchen values the evidence base of the HFA model and how it integrates the development of healthy relationships and trauma-informed skills while celebrating customization for each community.
