Bio:

Dr. Lindsay Huffhines is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and Research Scientist at Bradley Hospital, where she is part of the Early Childhood Collaborative. She has dedicated her career to understanding the impact of intergenerational trauma and contextual stress on parenting and the mental and physical well-being of young children. Through her work, she endeavors to prevent the development of psychopathology and disease in young children growing up with adversity by implementing community-based preventive interventions designed to support caregivers in fostering adaptive emotion regulation in themselves and the children they care for. Dr. Huffhines currently leads a randomized controlled trial evaluating a reflective supervision professional development series in state-funded pre-K. She collaborates closely with Dr. Christine Low and Dr. Rebecca Silver, the co-developers of the Rhode Island Reflective Supervision Series, in implementing this training in early childhood-serving settings across the state, and assessing its impact.
