Bio:

Jared Barton, PhD, MSW is Director of the University of Kansas Center for Public Partnerships and Research. His research interests involve supporting the uptake of data and technology in human services to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families through data-informed decision-making, enhanced practice and policy, and continuous quality improvement. Dr. Barton currently serves as PI for the evaluation of the Missouri Children’s Trust evaluation of child sexual abuse prevention. He has led large-scale state and federal data and evaluation initiatives including the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV) and the Fatherhood FIRE parenting initiative. Dr. Barton has been involved in the conceptualization, technical development, and business analysis of multiple web-applications to support data collection, shared measurement, and reporting for several federal and state child and family well-being initiatives including those in child welfare, evidence-based early childhood programs, and community-based prevention programs. Dr. Barton received a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Social Work Administration and Advocacy Practice from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare.
