Beth Green
Director, Center for Coordinating Oregon Home Visiting Systems
Portland State University
Bio:
Beth Green, Ph.D. Dr. Green has been partnering with community-based programs for over 25 years to design useful, collaborative evaluation and research studies to help improve services for young children and their families. She has worked extensively with Oregon’s Departments of Early Learning, Child Welfare, and Behavioral Health, as well as other state and local system partners, organizations, and programs, including statewide evaluations of home visiting programs, systemic analysis of early childhood systems, and multiple participatory research projects that engage culturally-specific programs and the minoritized families they serve in leadership roles. She works intentionally to implement equitable evaluation methodologies that center family voice in decision-making about research design and methods, and which de-center whiteness and shift power in creating meaning from data and using data to create systemic change.
