Taking the Jargon Out of Financial Communications

Complex financial terminology can be a barrier to understanding disclosures and financial communications, more generally.  This session will shed light on the effects of complex terminology on investment knowledge, particularly among women and respondents from minority backgrounds. There will also be a sharing of efforts that have been taken to understand and reduce the complexity of financial terminology and a discussion on what the industry can learn from this work.
