Skyler Rorabaugh is a career parks and recreation professional currently serving as the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services for the City of Colorado Springs – a CAPRA-accredited agency. Skyler possesses experience in leading strategic initiatives that enhance parks, trails, open space, recreation, tourism, and cultural services. His work focuses on creating exceptional experiences while balancing long-term stewardship, financial sustainability, community needs, and responsible growth. Skyler’s educational background includes an MS in Health and Human Performance - Sports Administration and a BS in Physical Education - Parks and Recreation Management from Fort Hays State University and an AS in Business Administration Management from Brown Mackie College. Skyler has been involved in advancing innovative recreation opportunities, developing partnerships and philanthropic support, guiding major capital and destination projects, and shaping policies that support safe, equitable, and sustainable use of public lands, facilities, programs, and services. He is particularly passionate about enhancing quality of life and creating memorable experiences through parks and recreation involvement to serve current and future generations. He has been blessed with a wonderful wife, daughter and son, as well as their dog, Pearl.
